This Cookie Policy applies to the North Sea 3D Ltd website at www.ns-3d.com.
It should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how NS3D processes personal information more generally.
2. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files or similar browser-storage technologies that can be placed on or accessed from your device when you visit a website.
They can be used for purposes such as remembering settings, maintaining website functionality, recording privacy choices, measuring website use or supporting advertising technologies.
3. How NS3D Uses Cookies and Similar Technologies
NS3D currently uses a limited number of technologies for:
- remembering your cookie and analytics choices;
- supporting website functionality and security;
- measuring website usage through Google Analytics 4 where the relevant analytics consent is granted;
- sending limited cookieless measurement signals through Google Consent Mode where applicable.
NS3D does not currently use the website for personalised advertising or remarketing. Advertising-related consent signals are set to denied by default in the current implementation.
4. Klaro Consent Manager
NS3D uses a self-hosted implementation of the Klaro consent manager to present privacy choices and remember the selection you make.
Klaro stores the following consent preference in your browser:

5. Google Analytics 4
NS3D uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors use the website and our online 3D tools.
When analytics consent is granted, GA4 may create cookies including:

The exact lifetime of a Google Analytics cookie may be refreshed or affected by browser behaviour, Google settings and future service changes.
6. Google Tag Manager
Google Tag Manager (GTM) is used to manage the Google analytics tag and related measurement configuration on the NS3D website.
GTM itself is primarily a tag-management mechanism. The cookies or other technologies used by services loaded through GTM depend on the individual service and your consent choices.
7. Google Consent Mode v2
NS3D uses Google Consent Mode v2 to communicate your consent status to Google tags.
On initial page load, the following consent states are set:

If you allow analytics, the
analytics_storage state is updated to
granted. Advertising-related consent
states remain denied unless NS3D later introduces and
separately configures advertising technologies.
8. Advanced Consent Mode and Cookieless Measurement
NS3D's current implementation uses Google's advanced consent mode.
When analytics storage is denied, Google Analytics does not read or write analytics cookies for that purpose. However, Google tags may still transmit limited cookieless measurement signals.
Google may use those signals for measurement or modelling in accordance with its own terms, policies and technical documentation.
9. Your Choices
When you first visit NS3D, the Klaro consent notice gives you options to:
- accept optional analytics;
- decline non-essential analytics; or
- open the preference manager and choose your settings.
Necessary functionality and the storage used to remember your privacy choice do not depend on analytics consent.
10. Changing or Withdrawing Your Choice
You can change or withdraw your analytics choice at any time by using the Cookie Settings link in the website footer.
Changing your choice affects future processing. It does not make earlier processing unlawful where that processing was lawful at the time.
You can also delete cookies directly through your browser settings. Doing so may cause the Klaro consent notice to appear again because the website will no longer be able to remember your previous choice.
11. Browser-Based 3D Tools
Cookies are separate from the CAD, STL, STEP, G-code and other engineering files you may use with NS3D browser tools.
Where an NS3D tool states that file processing takes place locally in your browser, the file does not need to be uploaded to NS3D solely for that processing.
12. Future Advertising Technologies
NS3D does not currently use the website for personalised advertising or remarketing.
If advertising technologies are introduced in future, this Cookie Policy and the consent-management configuration will be reviewed and updated before those technologies are enabled for relevant users.
13. Changes to This Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy if our website, analytics configuration, cookie usage, suppliers or legal requirements change.
